Karna kebetulan saya menggunakan Ubuntu 10.4, maka saya install yang untuk Ubuntu, bila anda menggunkan distro lain, silahkan download paket yang sesuai dengan distro anda.
Berikut ini langkah install Packet Tracer 5.1 di Ubuntu 10.4 :
1. Download dulu packet tracertnya di websitenyai http://195.148.217.80/Public/Cisco/Programs/PacketTracer/Linux/ , nama file nya PacketTracer51_i386_installer-deb.bin
2. Truz ganti permission file nya.
chmod 755 PacketTracer52_i386_installer-deb.bin
3. Setelah itu ekstrak dan instal packet nya.
./PacketTracer52_i386_installer-deb.bin

4. Baca dulu EULAnya ya tekan enter saja, terus tekan spasi sampai muncul pertanyaan.

5. Tekan Y kemudian enter tunggu hingga proses instalasi selesai.
6. Kalo dah selesai instalasinya, cara jalanin packet tracert nya masuk di Applications -> Internet -> Packet Tracert 5.1. hasilnya klik link
